hi everyone,

we're doing something we've never done before !! in two weeks - WED
JAN 28 - we are having a grand celebration for our NEW DISC "A Modest
Proposal," to be released January 20 on Cuneiform Records.

in celebration of this disc and our TENTH ANNIVERSARY (!!) we are
doing a GUTBUCKET ORCHESTRA show where we have invited our friends and
incredible players to perform with us as we recreate the layers of
sounds we put on the disc, LIVE.

we've invited: Sara Phillips Budde and Alex Hamlin, winds; Eyal Maoz,
guitar; Tom Gavin, guitar and bass; Jordan Shapiro, guitar and keys;
Greta Gertler, keys; Jody Redhage, cello; Peter Wise, vibes.

PLUS Luke Dubois is going to come by and do some LIVE VIDEO which is
going to be projected onto all 4 walls of the space.

It's all happening at Monkeytown in Williamsburg, a great, intimate
venue at 58 N. 3rd St in Brooklyn which also has great food. (Ty
recommends the burger.)

We are so excited about this, we can't wait for you to see and hear
it.

Pick up "A Modest Proposal" today!
We just got our first review of the record, on All Music Guide!! They
write ....

"There's plenty of madness from this quartet, but there's a method to
it... that can plunge from the manic to the deliciously melodic (as on
part of "Side Effects May Include," where saxman Ken Thomson becomes
almost elegiac). Although they don't flaunt it, all the bandmembers
are superb musicians, capable of moving through warped klezmer into
avant jazz without missing a beat. However, none of this is showing
off of the look-how-clever-we-are kind. Rather, it's music-making and
exploring the edges, nibbling at them to re-create the elements and
discover something new, which they do admirably. It's a superb
record...."
