Hi,

This is my first post in the group. I am trying to install gurobi on a
Linux 64-bit machine.

I followed all the steps and generated the license file. I also
validated that my PC is hooked up to an academic network by running
grbvalidate. However, when I try to run grbd process I get the
following error:
Licensing daemon requires TOKEN license

Unable to start license server

I edited the contents of bashrc file to include the location for
gurobi.lic file. I have also placed gurobi.lic file in 3-4 locations
including the default locations mentioned on gurobi installation
support website.

Can someone please help me? Thanks a lot!

Vivek

Free academic licenses do not use the grbd token server. Restore your key file to its original state and validate the license.

Thanks very much for the prompt response. It works now!

This error indicates you are running the token server for a license that does not require it. Please review the instructions in the Quick Start Guide:

Five years on and I'm having the same issue on a Windows 64-bit machine.
I don't really understand your solution, can you please explain what I have to do?
