Job Description: WB Games is looking for a Senior User Researcher with an intense passion for gaming and science to work on games for all platforms including consoles, PC, and mobile. As a Senior User Researcher, you will oversee and conduct product research for at least one major AAA title (primarily Wonder Woman) through methods including research on all aspects of that title from concept to post-launch. You will author and deliver on a research roadmap that you have laid out with your project team and communicate all insights from that research to development partners and publishing stakeholders alike.
This is a hybrid role that will be based at Monolith Productions in Kirkland, WA.
The Daily:
Prepare and execute playtest studies.
Be the key point of contact and resident expert on all user research matters for your partner development team(s)
Create and maintain a research strategy and budget that effectively accompanies the developers throughout production and post-launch
Work with junior researchers to conduct user testing.
Determine appropriate research methodologies and craft associated surveys as required
Recruit the necessary amount and participant profile for each study
Submit nightly notes/observations for each test
Write playtest reports and debrief with development teams and key stakeholders
Administer each playtest and usability session in a non-biased manner
Provide findings-based recommendations as requested
The Essentials:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required (branches of experimental psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field).
Prior Experience:
6+ years of experience in a related role, ideally in games user research
Skills:
Knowledge of research design, qualitative, and quantitative methodologies.
The Nice to Haves:
Comfortable speaking in front of groups with authority
Experience with accessibility testing
Experience moderating large groups effectively without supervision
Excellent organizational skills.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiar with game design theory and development process for video games.
Genuinely enjoy gaming in all forms.
Familiarity with analytics is a plus.
Graduate degree is a plus.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $86,450.00 - $160,550.00 salary per year.
