Sub – Total lawlessness in Malibu Towne , Sohna Road , Gurgaon  resulting in criminal assault on a peace loving resident of the township.

 

Dear Sir,

 

It is really a matter of grave concern that a criminal attack on a resident of Malibu Towne, viz., Mr. Raman Sharma, resident of CW-58, F.F , Malibu Town , Sohna Road , Gurgaon was made when he was having an evening walk around 7.30 p.m. on August 24, 2011 near the Shopping Arcade in the township.  Luckily, he had two other companion walkers—Dr. Raj Kumar Bagai and the undersigned.   

 

Two persons, with their faces covered with scarves, came from behind and started grappling with him, ordering us to go away.  However, we did not do that and stayed on the scene.  In the melee, when Mr. Raman Sharma fell on the ground, I had to hit the attacker with my fist at which he and his other mate started running towards the exit gate. They were able to escape from the scene as even the security guards on duty near the exit gate did not try to stop the attackers, in spite of our shouting to do so. 

 

After their escape from the scene only we came to know that these people, along with some three-four accomplices, had been drinking beer from 2.30 p.m. or so onwards in the parking space of the Shopping Arcade.  This was brought to the notice of the Malibu Estate Pvt Ltd (MEPL) officials by the security guards on duty.  In spite of this, the miscreants were able to hang around till the time of the attack.  This is really very surprising and only goes to show that all this was happening with the knowledge and tacit approval of the MEPL officials.

 

I request you to order a full-fledged probe into the matter and bring all the guilty to the book.

Hi Raman,

 

If this attack is indeed made in view of your active perusal of the civic & social issues, many of us are wide open and vulnerable to such practices as we all are fighting similar battles with our respective Builders. There is a need to have joint strategy and mitigation in place so that it does not become a common practice to forcibly subdue the ones who lead the cause from forefront. We need to send a strong message to the Builders through the Media if it is established that it was led by the Builder. Suggest that Vinay calls for a meeting over the weekend to deliberate on this.
