Thereare a lot of side quests to undertake in Blasphemous 2. Some of them require combat skills, others platforming skills, and many of them simply have you scouring the map for collectables. There are many things to do before you can consider the game 'complete'.
The Sealed Letter quest, on the other hand, is a bit more involved than what you may be used to. A single pickup will set you on a riddle-solving adventure that takes you all over the map, with some steps being quite devious indeed. The reward is a nice one, though.
In the northwestern part of the Streets of Wakes, there's a series of angelic rings that you can use to reach the top-right exit of the area. This leads to a small room in which you'll find the first Sealed Envelope.
Examine the Sealed Envelope in your key itemsmenu to receive your first riddle. Each letter found in this quest will have a message that hints at a certain location that you'll need to reach, sometimes with a certain action that you must carry out. Completing these riddles will reward you with the next riddle in the sequence.
The first letter you receive will speak of finding the largest looking glass and kneeling in respect. This is a hint towards the large mirror that you can find in the bottom, reflected half of Two Moons.
Once you've reached this room, place yourself so that you appear in the mirror neatly, and then crouch. After a few seconds, you'll be rewarded with a Sealed Letter and the second part of this quest.
This letter might sound a bit cryptic, but there are some good clues as to where you'll need to go to complete this stage of the quest. You may not remember it as it will have happened very early on in the game, but when you first approached the chasm that leads to Profundo Lamento (the relatively small area underneath the City of the Blessed Name), you heard a screen-shaking scream.
This is likely the cruellest stage of the quest, as it's very easy to miss the 'bell' that the letter is referring to. It's referring to the bells used as weapons by the charging enemies you'll have come across throughout the game.
The bell in question is located in the Mother of Mothers area. From the Prie Dieus at the top of the area in the middle, take the bottom-right exit. All the way to the right on this screen, you'll find a bell on the ground that does not break when struck.
This quest's wording might sound like it's trying to trick you, but you really are just looking for a skull with this one. The skull in question is the one above the shop on the righthand side of the city.
Walk right past the shop's entrance without going inside, then go back on yourself. Walk past the entrance a third time, and you'll get the fifth and final Sealed Letter.
The 'sea breeze' is a huge hint as to the location you'll need to go for this part of the quest. You're looking for the platform that juts out over the Sea of Ink, one screen to the left of the top of the elevator in Profundo Lamento.
As the letter mentions, 'ending it all', to complete the quest, you'll have to throw yourself off the platform and into the Sea of Ink below. Don't worry, though, as you'll be totally fine.
This guide on Mega Man: Battle Network is written by various team members of the old Rockman EXE team named Viral Infection. It is designed to allow for maximum clarity, and it has a bit of our trademark sense of humour embedded in it. So even if you're an EXE expert, go ahead and read some of it, it's good for a laugh you'll look at the game in an entirely different way. This guide was written mostly by me, Raijin K, and Enigmatic Digital so don't ask Gauntlet any questions - he didn't do squat!
Q: I beat Numberman and checked the metroline, but Dex won't e-mail me about the rematch. What am I missing?
A: I guess we're at fault here for writing a walkthrough in the first place. Most people who read walkthroughs or have already beaten the game once don't think to explore areas they know can't be explored yet. In this case, the trigger to send Dex's e-mail is started by three things. 1. You have to talk to the guy at the far end of the metroline station, 2. You have to step outside into the town, and 3. You have to examine the /Dex pathway. Apparently, Rock and Lan have to know they need to talk to Dex, otherwise they'd probably just ignore his challenge anyway. This was overlooked in the walkthrough since everything was being closely examined at the earliest oppurtunities, not drawing into account a game with just essential exploration. The walkthrough is now updated to draw this into account.
Q: How do I get to the net in Dentown?
A: If you want to get to the undernet, the quickest way is through Miyu's link. Jack into the looking glass on her counter and follow the path around, and if you don't have the @Miyu yet, you might as well pick it up now and go through the long way. Use this map, this map and maybe this map for more help. Area 4 is the "Net in Dentown" that Higsby refers to.
