GProTab is the Guitar Pro software files sharing system. Here you can find tabs to learn how to play your most loved songs on a guitar. The chords can be viewed through our tab player, available for each tab on the project. You can download the available tabs by browsing through the inventory or by searching through the form above. You can also share your own tabs by clicking the "Share tab" in the main menu (requires registration).

As a new guitar player, you will need to learn how to effectively read the guitar Tab if you want to play chords, melodies, and songs. The process can get quite overwhelming, but thanks to this class, everything you need to know is well elaborated.

Now, onto the basic layout of Tabs. Let's consider a Tab you want to learn. In most cases, you will notice some standard notation on the top and bottom of the Tab. You are also likely to see six horizontal lines of the Tab that will represent the six guitar strings.

The topmost line is the high E guitar string, and the bottom line will be the low E string of the guitar. In other words, the uppermost line will be the thinnest, and the bottom-most will be the thickest.

This brings us to our first Tab tip: Always read Tab from your left to your right. In case they are all stacked on top of the other, then that is the only time you can simultaneously play multiple notes.

I have mentioned notes and chords before. So what exactly are they, and do they do?The notes are the single numbers from your right to left on a piece of Tab that will represent a melody line or perhaps a solo you might play.

Muted Notes: Also known as the dead notes, muted notes are symbolized by an "X" on a particular string. Every time you see a muted note, you are expected to soften the note using your right or left hand. In addition, you should play the note to completely mute the pitch. This often occurs in strumming patterns or raked parts of lead lines.

Bending: Whenever you see an arrow pointing upwards, you will be expected to bend a note. The upward-pointing arrow will be next to one or more numbers. Next to the shaft, you should see an indicator showing the distance you are to bend the note. It will also be essential to mention that the bend can be "full" or " ."

Sliding: remember a fret number we talked about earlier? The presentation of a fret number, a line, and another fret number will signify sliding.In most cases, depending on your sliding pitch, the line will be slanted up or down. That is to say: the line will be slanted up if you are sliding from a higher pitch and low if you are sliding from a lower pitch.

Hammer-ons and Pull-offs: you will use a little arc between two or more adjacent notes to identify hammer-ons and pull-offs. If this is a bit difficult for you to interpret, do not worry. It gets better the moment you start to familiarize yourself with a variety of musical scenarios. I'm pretty sure you will get the whole idea.

Vibrato: When you repeatedly bend and release note over and over, we call that a vibrato. It is used for a powerful vocal effect. With a squiggly line over a note, you can tell the intensity of the vibrato. The thicker the squiggly line is, the more intense or wide the vibrato will be. The vice-versa is also true.

Downstrokes and Upstrokes: finally, on to the downstrokes and upstrokes.Take an author of a piece of music as an example. If the composer has a specific picking pattern, you are likely to see either a squared-off upside-down " U" or downward-facing arrow. These indicators represent the downstrokes and upstrokes, respectively. If the indicators are not included, then the player is usually free to experiment and try out his own picking patterns.

Desde la versin 5, guitar pro incluye un nuevo sistema llamado RSE (Realistic Sound Engine) para reproducir el audio de las partituras en vez del formato MIDI usado por las versiones anteriores. Este sistema consiste en la reproduccin de sonidos de instrumentos reales previamente grabados, lo que ofrece un sonido muy similar al de un instrumento real. Este mtodo de reproduccin tiene como inconveniente que consume gran cantidad de recursos del sistema.

Floodland is the second studio album by English gothic rock band the Sisters of Mercy. It was released on 13 November 1987, through Merciful Release internationally and distributed by WEA, with Elektra Records handling the United States release. After the release of the band's debut studio album, First and Last and Always (1985), members Craig Adams and Wayne Hussey left to form the Mission, causing the dissolution of the Sisters of Mercy. As a result, band frontman Andrew Eldritch formed a side project known as the Sisterhood. After the first Sisterhood album was received negatively overall, Eldritch restarted the Sisters of Mercy and hired the Sisterhood member Patricia Morrison for the recording of a new album.

Eldritch wrote the songs of Floodland in Hamburg; the city's large amount of water influenced its title as well as the recurring lyrical theme of water. He then called upon Larry Alexander to produce the album with him and Jim Steinman to produce the songs "Dominion" / "Mother Russia" and "This Corrosion". Recording sessions began at Power Station Studios in New York City during January 1987 and carried on throughout the first half of the year at Strawberry Studios in Stockport and The Wool Hall in Bath. Eldritch served as the vocalist, performed all instruments, and programmed the band's drum machine, "Doktor Avalanche".

The drum machine acted as the drum player; Morrison did not contribute to the album despite being a member of the Sisters of Mercy. In contrast to the conventional group-based recording sessions for First and Last and Always, Floodland was pieced together on computers using sequencers. The music incorporates the genres of gothic rock and dark wave, while the lyrical content sees Eldritch cast as the observer of a slowly deteriorating world. Some of the events that inspired certain songs include the Chernobyl disaster, the Cold War, and the band's previous break-up.

The singles "This Corrosion", "Dominion", and "Lucretia My Reflection" were released in promotion. "This Corrosion" peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, while "Dominion" and "Lucretia My Reflection" peaked at number 13 and 20, respectively. Floodland debuted on the UK Albums Chart at number 9, later being certified gold in UK by the BPI for selling 100,000 copies. It also reached the top 40 in other European countries, including Switzerland. Despite initially receiving mixed reviews from music critics, Floodland has retrospectively received praise and been considered a seminal gothic rock album by several critics.

After the release of the Sisters of Mercy debut studio album First and Last and Always in March 1985, frontman Andrew Eldritch intended for them to record an ABBA cover as a single, and tried to hire Jim Steinman as a producer.[1] Eldritch originally contacted him when the ABBA song "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" (1979) was part of the band's setlist. Steinman was interested in producing the cover version, but was too busy at that time. Shortly afterward, the Sisters of Mercy disbanded.[2] The break-up occurred while the band prepared their second studio album in October 1985, which was going to be titled Left on Mission and Revenge.[3] Eldritch, who had still intended to record the album but as a solo artist, called bassist Patricia Morrison that same month, who was on a tour of the United Kingdom with her band Fur Bible in support of Siouxsie and the Banshees, asking Morrison to collaborate.[4]

Eldritch released the single "Giving Ground" on 20 January 1986 as part of a project under the name the Sisterhood, which features vocals by his musician friend James Ray. At the end of February 1986, the record label Merciful Release announced that the "forthcoming Andrew Eldritch album which for some months has had the working title Left on Mission and Revenge." The album was eventually titled Gift, being released in July 1986, again by the Sisterhood. It was recorded at Fairview Studios in Willerby, Hull. Eldritch did not sing on the album for contractual reasons, though Morrison collaborated with him for the first time, contributing a spoken passage on the track "Jihad". Gift was negatively received overall and Eldritch lost his publishing deal with RCA Music Limited as a result of it.[7] A 12-inch EP by the Sisterhood entitled This Corrosion was planned for release and set to feature an American vocalist, whose identity was meant to be kept secret until release.[8] The EP had been recorded at Fairview Studios with Alan Vega but remained unreleased, with Eldritch instead keeping the idea for when he would reboot the Sisters of Mercy.[9]
