The charter of this group (found in About Group) is the "Discussion forum for the Google University Consortium Designed for discussion among course designers, lecturers, and university professors, appropriate topics focus on the development and execution of courses featuring Google developer tools and APIs."

Messages requesting tutoring, mentoring, or other student assistance have been and will be removed, and such students banned from the group.

Please help keep conversations on topic.

When I started this group, I was concerned that we'd be plagued by students looking for mentorships and help with homework. It looks like that's all we're getting lately.

I'm going to have to start moderating messages. I'd rather do that than moderate membership. We'll try that for now, and see how it goes.

I'm also going to make Rio an admin to help, since she's been so proactive. Please encourage your peers to participate.

Thanks for the promotion! I have been puzzled for some time why this community is not more active? 

I wasn't sure how to handle the students questions, felt bad not being helping to help each one.  

So anyone teaching Android next semester?  Are you looking are Android Studio?

Thanks Shannon, and welcome to the admin team Rio... we're glad to have you! I hope this trend doesn't continue as I don't want to do group membership moderation. However, it *is* true that the group has been quite quiet lately... being gone for the sumjmer is not an excuse! This is a community for all of you to share best practices in teach courses featuring any type of Google technology or share open courseware and research materials to help jumpstart the ecosystem.

Since I do developer outreach, I'm curious to hear about any *successes* any of you have had in the classroom in adopting a Google technology for curriculum or in the lab for your research and wish to further publicize your efforts! Feel free to contact me privately if you wish.

Since Shannon and I have a direct line to the product teams, we also want to hear about any *failures* or issues. We actively listen to our users and pass on feedback to the engineers and product managers. To a certain point, we have released user-initiated desired features. Some examples for Google App Engine being Python 2.7 & PHP support as well as its Search API.

While somewhat muted, your voices can be heard loudly here! I look forward to interacting with you all this coming school year, and perhaps may see you on your campus at some point as part of my academic outreach!

I'm teaching for the third time this spring. At the moment I am leaning toward sticking with ADT/eclipse. I'm

I'm excited about Studio, but since they don't seem to be able to say when it'll even have feature parity with ADT, I am a bit wary. It seems too early at the moment. Anyone know their roadmap for it? Are they dropping support/enhancements for ADT already?
