Does gUnify support Presence (XMPP) for Google Apps and Broadsoft?

The short answer is Yes. gUnify does support Presence for Google Apps and Broadsoft. However the domain can not have Google Hangouts enabled or else presence will not work, because once Google Hangout is enabled XMPP will be disabled. So if you use presence for your business or organization do not enable Hangouts. 

The other question we get a lot is...is Google going to turn off XMPP with Google Apps Chat and force us to use Google Hangouts. 

We honestly don't know, but we have been in contact with the Google Hangouts team and they are aware of the need for XMPP. But if they should turn Google Apps Chat off... we are working on a 3rd party chat client solution that you will be able to add to gUnify and your Google Apps account.
