Dear Friends and Family:

I want us to make an additional notations as we go through this week culminating
this Sunday for worship.

---Mrs. Lydia Villena is still at Guam Memoral hospital and might take a few more days
before she is released. She had a raptured appendix while at the hosptial.  Naomi thought
that her ailment should have been discovered during the CT Scan done the night before.

The appendectomy lasted for several hours and it will take more days for her
to recover. She won't be able to travel back to California as planned.
She said we shouldn't be surprised though if she shows up to church this Sunday.
She was very thankful indeed for the farewell party she received last sunday. You may
visit her on the third floor room 313.

---I have books I will leave for our new pastor. Most I will take with me to the university
where I will be teaching.  Some books I will have Naomi to keep for me for future
use.  I gave some to our leaders for them to use as we charter a new year of ministry.
Still, I have some more and I want to sell them or accept some donation as
resources is going to be needed when I start my mission and ministry in July.
They are used but quality books. And these books may not suit your taste and interest
so, I am not expecting a rewarding book table sale. These will not be romantic or
adventure books we often see in a yard sale. Church leadership, mission, Bible
commentaries, and theologies are just some of the topics.

--Our meeting with Atty. Ladd Baumann last Wednesday was fruitful. The Rev. Johann
Osias is planning to be here end of June and commence his ministry with us first
week of July.  Let us encourage one another as we experience this pastoral transition,
speak well and support our pastor who is qualified and committed to join our mission and
   ministry in Guam.

I will be moving out of my office Sunday afternoon and will be needing some help Saturday
and Sunday (and parsonage, too!). And I will not take a day off Monday.  I will be open
for a visit or a cup of coffee Monday and then I should be preparing to take my flight in
the afternoon for the conference at the University of Redlands.

Again, let us pray for one another and love one another for God is love.

What an amazing experience and a rewarding opportunity to have met you and serve
you in the name of the Christ who came to serve and not to be served.
