Hi Sam, I have looked at the water quality test results for July 2010 (attached) and have the following comments to share;

·         Under the column Total risk/10 what are the parameters we do consider here? Is it anything beyond just sanitary surveys? Am asking this because there are some water points that registered high ratios but still the water remain of good very good quality – Dwol and Loyoboo in Layibi and Punena parishes respectively.

·         There are about six water points that have very poor bacteriological quality as highlighted yellow in the attachment. I would like to understand what the way forward is for those water points. For me the decision making that follows such a test is what I look forward to. Has the district water department visited those communities (guessing it’s your mandate) to advise on the poor water quality and inform them on what next? It’s my point of interest though.

 

All in all, I feel we are on the right track as far as quality provision of water is concerned and taking on our responsibility of ensuring water of acceptable quality to the masses.
