The old Florida Naturist Park is now known as the Sunshine Beach Club.
The original owners of the name Florida Naturist Park gave that name
up in 2003 when the Park was allegedly sold to a Bill Martin. Mr.
Martin was relieved of his alleged ownership by the Federal Court in
Tampa, Florida in 2009. At that time the Park reverted back to the
original sellers. The name Florida Naturist Park was claimed by
another in 2009 after being abandoned by the owners and at this time
is the registered property of Michael Thompson, who is a resident of
the Park.
The original owners of the Park have been notified to stop using the
Florida Naturist Park name. To date they have only partially complied,
and only as they see fit, and the name matter appears headed to the
Courts in due course. The owners of the Park also scoff at the billing
sent to them for continued use of the name now owned by Mr. Thompson.
The Park is back for sale again. The Martin sale in 2003 was for
$550,000 including all common area's and all building lots that had
not ever been sold. That sale was before the economic crash. After the
Federal Bankruptcy Court rendered their final decision the owners
again advertised the Park, but this second time was after the
economical crash, at $890,000, but were unsuccessful in finding a
buyer.
The Park has been re-listed for sale once again. The latest listing is
with Realty One of Pasco County, Florida. The listing agent is
Michelle Perkins at phone number 727-379-9400. This time of the 120
acres total in the original Park the sellers are asking $890,000 but
only for roughly 59+ acres, or the common area's, wetlands and the 18
acres of roads. The owners now appear to be keeping the formerly
included 60+- building lots out of the sale this time to keep for
themselves to sell separately..
There are several troublesome discrepancy's and non disclosures
between this Realty One listing and reality. This site is intended to
address those matters truthfully for the protection of current and
future residents. There is no intention to degrade the owners or
slander them in any way. Slander is a product of untruth.
