No, there was no compensation. The owners of the Park appointed three
managers during the four years that the litigation took for them to re-
claim the Park. The mangers were volunteering their time so that some
order was maintained. The maintenance of the Park was accomplished by
a small representation of the residents. They cleared the lake areas,
rebuilt the beach house, mowed all the acres that were cleared,
cleaned and maintained the roads, picked up tons of debris such as
hundreds of tires, broken glass, old cars etc. etc. etc.. While the
owners claimed that they would re-imburse the maintenance costs over
the 4 long years they have not. The ownerws did not provide any
ewquipment to maintain the Park nor did they contribute even one penny
for gas and incidentals. One manager bought a $5,500 mower out of his
own pocket to maintain the Park and another neighbor loaned the same
manager a tractor so the trees and other debris could be handled. I
might add that the owners did not even thank the group that maintained
the place. Nothing.
