Meet with legislators on January 27 to discuss the importance of energy affordability.
J. Henry Fair

Please join us at the Statehouse on January 27 for an Energy Affordability Advocacy Day! South Carolina has some of the highest energy bills in the nation, and legislators need to hear from their constituents that affordable clean energy solutions must be a top priority for the 2026 legislative session.

Join a broad consortium of organizations at the Statehouse for a chance to speak with your legislators and urge them to take action for more affordable energy bills!

Energy efficiency programs are the least-cost energy resource and can help to minimize rate increases while directly reducing participants' bills. Solar energy and battery storage can also help to reduce electricity costs. We need policies are in place to ensure that the utilities optimize their investments in these affordable clean energy solutions.

Energy affordability is even more important now that the utilities are eyeing multi-billion-dollar investments in methane gas infrastructure to serve AI data centers. We need reforms to make sure that rates are designed so that everyday South Carolinians don't have to help foot the bill for big tech companies' energy demand.

Make your voices heard and unite with our larger alliance, including Coastal Conservation League, Conservation Voters of South Carolina, Southern Environmental Law Center, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, League of Women Voters, and the Energy Justice Coalition, among others, who will be there to support and guide you throughout the day!
