Good afternoon all,
Last week I reached out about a temporary seasonal park ranger position here at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park. As it turns out - tis the season for adding to the team here!
We are filling a 46-week internship through Conservation Legacy's Stewards Individual Placement Program. The program begins in mid September 2026 and runs through late July 2027. This is a full-time position that is run through a youth program - so it's only
open to applicants between the ages of 18 - 30 (or 35 if they're a veteran). This intern will help support daily operations around Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, but their big "project" will be helping to plan and execute events and programs
associated with the park's 10-year anniversary in 2027. So this will include opportunities for some archival research and oral history in the community, as well as event planning.
If you have any questions, please let me know, and please share this one throughout your local networks. It is not officially limited to the local commuting area, but given housing in the area - somebody with local family or housing lined up is a plus. Application
