Join SCORE and Charleston Waterkeeper at Fort Johnson on James Island to bag oyster shells this Saturday, December 16th from 9:00 AM- 11:00AM. This family-friendly event will create substrate that will be deployed in local waters this spring and summer to support oyster restoration efforts. Volunteers should plan to work hard, break a sweat, and have a blast!
All supplies will be provided including gloves, shovels, hand sanitizer, water and cups, and first aid. Please bring your reusable water bottle to minimize waste. Closed toe shoes are a must.
Interested participants must RSVP by emailing sc...@dnr.sc.gov in order to receive additional event information.
Sincerely,
The SCORE Team
