Thanks to everyone who joined us for the July 28 community meeting and drop-in session about the Kerr-McGee Navassa Superfund Site. We appreciated the opportunity to update you about the on-site staging pile removal, the OU3 proposed cleanup plan, upcoming work in OU4 North, and more. As discussed during the meeting, we anticipate local contracting opportunities at the Site in fall 2026 and spring 2027. Please reach out if you are interested in being considered for any of the following opportunities:
Please note that all on-site workers need to complete 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and/or the 8-Hour refresher training. We have offered HAZWOPER training in the past and would be open to doing so again to support local contracting. A commercial driver’s license is also required for most hauling-related activities.
If you would like to be considered for future work opportunities at the Site, we encourage you to respond to this email and indicate the types of work that interest you. This will help ensure that we have your information on file as opportunities become available.
