I looked at the song last night for the first time.
If you noted Barry's email form the other day, he has Under the Bridge with the capo on the second fret. Sounds good to me.
Also, I have played the song with all bar chords- D (bar on 5th fret), A (bar on 5th fret), Bm and F#m (bar on 2nd fret), G (bar on 3rd fret). It sounds OK and is pretty easy to move around.
Still haven't nailed the intro. But I need to listen to it a few more times.
The Doors Alabama Song has a very cool history. Check it out if that is of interest to you. It is a German bar room song written by Berthold Brecht and brought to the stage by Kurt Weill. And sung by Lotta Lenya one of the most famous actresses of the 20th century!
