Justcome across this issue myself. Found a resolve, not sure if this will work for everyone. I was trying to edit a PDF that was using the Calibri font which I didn't have on my macbook. I then went and downloaded it using an external website but I couldn't use in it Acrobat. Acrobat uses fonts from 'Adobe Fonts' since the newest CC update. I found and downlaoded the font on Adobe Fonts and its now working.
Thanks for your input. Sorry, but I don't follow the suggestion. When I try to edit any text in the document, I am unable to select the "Officina Sans ITC Book" option. It appears at the bottom of the drop down list of fonts, but is grey and "frozen out" - and can not be selected.
I am having the same issue. Our college uses Myriad Pro Regular. I could edit this same document last year before my computer was updated this summer. Now I'm having this issue and I don't see any fix on this so far.
Having same issue. Did a recent Creative Cloud update and although Acrobat wasn't in the update, I now cannot type with Open Sans Condensed on the document that I just typed with that font in Acrobat last week. It's not just this font either. Word types with it fine, Fontbook says the font is fine. Acrobat will actually edit the text of the first line of my old document in Open Sans Condensed until I hit a carriage return then it gives me that same error message that the original font is not available and using Geneva in its place. Very odd that font won't work. I downloaded a version of the font and re-installed, even changed the name of it, but to no use. Stuck in font prison and can't text my way out. Send help.
Ever get a fix? I have the same issue. I have a PDF that I have to fill out 3 times (slightly different) every 2 weeks. Most of the info is the same. We just edit dates and times in about 30 different locations. I get, "The origianl font Arial is not available or can't be used in editing. Adobe Acrobat is using the fong Z...@R9366.tmp in its place." Then instead of an actual font I have just squares.
Same problem! Would love a response. I've downloaded and installed the fonts, verified them, and they work fine in word, but if I have to do a last minute word change in a pdf...can't do it. Have to go back to the designer/original to get this simple thing done. Costs time.
It happens equally with any fonts obtained from anywhere. You would think that Adobe would have gone to the trouble of resolving this for their paying customers after so many years of this issue existing.
Same issue as everyone else. I am experienceing the same exact thing as @editbreath. It will allow me to edit one word but the second I move to another box it defualts to Geneva with the error message. Its ridiculous how many people have complained about this same issue and there still hasn't been a solid resolution. HELLO ADOBE?! ANYONE THERE?!
This actually worked for me. I had added Garamond in Adobe fonts, exited out of all applications, with no dice. Then did this resync and now Garamond isn't greyed out on Acrobat, so easy but so so so stupid. Thank you for the guidance.
I'm working on a new email campaign, and the font looks one way in Constant Contact and completely different once I send a test to my GMail inbox. Here is how it looks in Constant contact: -/view?usp=share_link And here is how it displays in the test email: _sVecBL8R66cygP2DdXlgRy6/view?usp=share_link The font I am trying to use is Raleway. Can you please help me troubleshoot why this is happening?
The issue you're describing, and from what I'm finding based on my test sends of your two recent drafts, seems more to do with the fact that Raleway isn't a widely available font type. I can't even paste the Raleway text directly into my work device's Word program without it automatically changing to Arial, since Raleway isn't available on it. For a lot of email programs, such as Gmail, it's 100% dependent on how the recipient has chosen for emails' text to display (default being Sans Serif).
If the receiving side's default elements and existing font options don't include the font type you've selected, there's nothing that can be done besides using a more basic, email-safe font type like Arial. Otherwise, you could also potentially utilize a screencap of the preferred font, and include the title sections as images, but this can lead to other display issues if the recipient doesn't allow images to display without manually approving/downloading first.
We just sent an email out through Constant Contact. When we received it in our email in Outlook, one of the fonts (main title of the invitation) was different. Instead of a pretty cursive, it looked like a completely different font. Any reason why?
Depending on the receiving device, email app / program, browser, or another element contributing toward the email showing, if the selected font isn't available then the email program will default to another. Generally the email program will try to replace it with as close of a font as it has access to. Make sure to check out this article for more info regarding font availabilities and displays.
Text-to-911 is the ability to send a text message to reach 911 emergency call takers from your mobile phone or device. However, because voice calls to 911 provide more information to 911 call centers, you should always make a voice call to 911 during an emergency whenever possible.
Text-to-911 is only currently available in certain locations. The FCC encourages emergency call centers to begin accepting texts, but it is up to each call center to decide the particular method in which to implement and deploy text-to-911 technology.
FCC rules require all wireless carriers and other providers of text messaging applications in the United States to deliver emergency texts to call centers that request them. If a call center requests text-to-911 service, text messaging providers must deliver the service in that area within six months.
To check to see if the 911 call center in your area supports text-to-911, download our list of areas supporting available service (updated monthly). But even in areas where call centers accept text-to-911, existing voice-based 911 service is still the most reliable and preferred method of contact.
If you attempt to send a text to 911 where the service is not yet available, FCC rules require all wireless carriers and other text messaging providers to send an automatic "bounce-back" message that will advise you to contact emergency services by another means, such as making a voice call or using telecommunications relay service. Bounce-back messages are intended to minimize your risk of mistakenly believing that a text to 911 has been transmitted to an emergency call center when it has not.

Im seeing this same errors with jamfHelper running after enrollment, not sure if the problem is because I'm running it in a VM, never had this problem before with other macOS so not sure what the problem is. If anyone has an idea please share.
@OrlandoS Based on a thread from the Munki GitHub, I don't think this issue is related to you working in a vm. Recent posts here: , suggest that there's an issue with softwareupdate where it's hanging waiting for a response it never receives. As a result updates aren't being downloaded or devices that have updates are showing up as clean until an admin or technician actually goes to an endpoint and invokes softwareupdate manually. Like Jamf, Munki simply tries to use the softwareupdate binary to run OS updates, so it doesn't appear to be something specific to Munki deployments. The most recent posts in that thread indicate the bug is being worked out in the 12.3 release so we may see a fix here soon. Might also suggest updating to that beta on a test device and seeing if this behavior persists. I'm likely going to try the same.
(As a note I work with both Intel and Silicon based endpoints in my environment. Seeing issues across both platforms on macOS 12 releases. macOS 11 appears to behave as expected when using softwareupdate)
