The only way to truly disable defender is to install another 3rd party anti-virus, doing so Windows will detect the program and automatically disable defender, if you remove the 3rd party program windows will then re-enable defender.

So I disabled windows update and BITs services every time I logon windows. It had been working fine for a long while, today the issue came back on, and worst it had no signal on the external monitor. Now using your solution to turn off windows defender seems bring my monitor back on, best no flickering. I hope permanently.

As a workaround, you can run the following command to put Defender to a platform version, then you can disable services and change registry
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Defender\MpCmdRun.exe -resetplatform
Well Boys and Girls after reading through the release notes for build 17093 in the wee small hours of the night, I have found the change point that affects my VMware Workstation VM's causing them not to work, it is the Core Isolation settings under Device Security under windows security (new name for windows defender page) in settings. By default it is turned on, however when I turned it off and restarted my pc all my VMware VM's resumed working correctly. Perhaps a by device option could be incorporated in the next build to allow us to test individual devices / Apps responses to allow the core isolation to be on or off per device or App as required .

Note I have made some changes where drivers are intact as this script delete the drivers.

I need to disable a certain function in Bit Defender as I am sadly required in my work to use a USB connected (to computer) GPS device windows mobile center in order to transfer data from the device to the computer. Bitdefender blocks this due to it being old school stuff and is considered unsecure. In short, I need to disable the entire function in Bit Defender that scans and blocks data on my USB ports and is looking for instructions how I do this? Any direction is much appreciated. Thank you!
