Here's a photo of a typical roosting tree for Guinea Fowl in the South
African bush. No wonder they like roosting in trees....notice the
protection afforded from winged predators and ground predators ? The
problem in North America fro guineas....few trees here resemble the
Acacia.
We should be building guinea structures that provide the identical
kind safety from winged predators and ground predators. What lse
does aguine need to be concerned with at night.....maybe a fire? So
if we didn't lock up the poultry but just gave them high
roosts....they'd be perfectly safe. I wonder how much better could a
guinea fowl structure be .... being better than perfect ?
