Aion On Steam Deck

Hey @DadyRick, from all I've seen if you have the Linux system in your machine you can't really play aion, but my suggestion is to have a dual boot in your local disk with Windows and Linux. I hope you can fix the problem and come play on our server.

Aion works fine on linux, but there is an anti-cheat asset on unofficial servers, because of it, aion does not start on the portproton and in the steam, if the developers of the anti-cheat asset add support to wine, then there will be hope, but they are already satisfied with everything

The Steel Rake is the massive airship of the Steel Beard Pirates, whom the Shugos call Shulacks. Shulack is not translated, in game, but probably means something horrible like "bad businessmen".

Steel Rake has an intro quest, beginning with Suspicious Shugo for Elyos and A Suspicious Call for Asmodians. Both quests have a minimum level of 40. Once you complete this quest you should be offered three solo quests to complete in Steel Rake Cabin, the soloable middle deck of the Steel Rake. These must be completed before you can return to the Lower and Upper decks of the Steel Rake with a group.

This delivers you to a Black Cloud Traders airship that will sneak you onto The Stern of Steel Rake - Middle Level. Return to your city the same way, by clicking on the anchor mooring the Black Cloud Traders airship to the Steel Rake. You can exit and re-enter for up to 5 hours from your initial entry without worry, but after 5 hours if you need to leave (for a turn-in, for instance) be sure to leave at least one player inside to hold the instance open. Also, treasure keys obtained in the zone are NO-ZONE. If the player holding them exits the zone they vanish, so be sure any keys are held by someone that does not need to leave the ship for turn-ins. Most, if not all, door keys are NOT NO-ZONE.

The treasure keys should not be confused with the door keys, which drop from most named mobs in the zone and are required to progress. These do NOT vanish if you zone. This is very important, as it is wise to get the key from the Engineer once, then do NOT unlock the steam tunnel to the Upper Deck. Instead, exit and save this key. In this way, everafter, you can easy-mode the Engineer by pulling him into the Steam Tunnel!

The Airship is divided into three decks, {{aionzoneSteel Rake Cabin (formerly known as the Middle Deck), Lower Deck, and Upper Deck. Your point of entry is the The Stern of Steel Rake in Steel Rake Cabin.

• Freed Genie (44 5-dot Elite, Antique Storage) - This is a Rare Mob, and will not be in the zone every time you run it.

Across the room is an opening. Clear the roamers and the central mobs to reach it. Go through the short passage to the No. 2 Cargo Hold. Ignore the two mobs on your right (they will pull the entire room) and clear to the ramp on the left. From the bottom, pull Bubukin.

• Sturdy Bubukin (45 4-dot Elite, No. 2 Cargo Hold) - Tank and spank.

Clear across the left side of the Hold to the ramp, through the Menagerie (Normal 5-dot mobs with a few Elites) and down the ramp. Pull the first few mobs into the bottom of the ramp from beyond the door before you move into the Prison Zone. Destroy Prison Cell Doors as needed to kill or converse with prisoners.

• Warden Tantaka (44 5-dot Elite, Warden's Chamber) - There are three mobs in the room and two treasure chests. CC the adds and kill the Warden, then the adds and finally the chests.

Between the second and third sections of cells is a ramp down to The Brig. Inside is a strange mob, Special Delivery, and two treasure chests. If Special Delivery is the Qooqoo, and if you have the correct food, you can spawn a special, very rare mob. We have never seen him and are not sure what the food is or where to get it.

From the Anchor Hanger, destroy the Air Vent Cover to the north and go through the tunnel to reach the Central Deck - Upper Level. Clear down onto the deck until you can see to the far side of the left side. If Hook and Largimark are not there, they will be on the right side on the match to the landing you came in on.

• Hook the One-Armed and Largimark the Smoker (44 5-dot Elites, Northwest side of the Central Deck or on the southeast landing) - One of the two will have the flint you need to fire the Mobile Cannon.

Now that you have the flint, clear the right side from the stairs to the Central Deck Mobile Cannon. There will be three stealthed Raiders near the cannon. Clear them and fire the cannon to destroy the mobs at the base of the main stairs and bring Memekiki and her pet manduri.

• Chief Mate Menekiki (45 5-dot Elite, Central Deck) - Comes when you fire the cannon (which also kills all the adds clumped at the north end of the deck).

Go back to the raised landing you entered at, clear the landing and open the door to the Armory.

• Zerkin the One-eyed (44 5-dot Elite, Armory) - He will be in the main room or on the ramp down from the first room.
• Chief Gunner Koakoa (45 5-dot Hero, Large Gun Deck) - Periodically drops bombs all over the deck. One bomb will be smaller, so stack up on that one and destroy it as fast as you can, squishies should move back to the door area as soon as the rest of the bombs detonate to avoid the Gunners AE. Ranged DPS should stay by the door except when stacking up for the bombs.

Go back into the Armory, clear to the door opposite the one you came in at, and everyone click the cannon in the next room to fire yourself up to the Steering House level. Clear to the right (some stealthed Raiders) to enter the Captain's room.

• Brass-Eye Grogget (46 5-dot Hero, Steering House) - Must be fought on the compass in the middle of the room. Periodically he will go back to the wheel and call adds. Buff on him says he is invulnerable but DOTs will still hit him! Also, if you have a Spiritmaster, remove his big buff as often as possible!

hi , tinyorc , after i got the steamdeck i downloaded a game from my library to check it out played for about 3 hours then i installed windows to play l2 on it that was 8 mths ago , the steamdeck is on for 6 days a week its powered off tuesday around 10:30 till wednesday at 6:30 evening time it is never unpluged from the power outlet no problems at all , runs very good . i noticed it does not matter if you use it as is or for what i am using it for it bangs out a fair amount of heat , that is why i have it sitting on a laptop cooler . if you can do a clean installation of windows on a pc you can do it on the deck there are 3-4 files you need to install once windows is on the deck . i am not sure a long of a post you can put on the forums but i will post how to get windows running

run the creation tool this will make an iso image for you and save it to the desktop , then run rufus to make the iso bootable just remember to select windows to go in the options in rufus and save to the micro sd card , this is all done on a pc , once done insert the card into the steamdeck , hold down the volume button while turning on the steamdeck it will bring up a boot menu select the sc card and windows will install , when windows boots up for the first time it will be in portrait mode but the touchscreen works so go into settings and set it to landscape , install the files you got from steam website and remember to right click the audio files and install from the dropdown menu they are not a normal install file , windows should be installed on your deck . it is basic info on how to do it but if you know your way on installing windows and programs it should be no problem i hope it helps yourself and others .

when windows is on the steamdeck you move the pointer with your finger on the touchscreen right shoulder trigger and left are your right and left mouse buttons , same when playing lineage 2 and so to pan the camera you would hold down the left trigger and use it right touchpad to pan the camera there is no way i could zoom in and out , i have the graphic options set low but it looks good maybe because the screen rez is low compared to a monitor , you are going to have to get a few microsoft updates for windows before you can install the lineage 2 launcher i think as far as dot net 4.0 thats all i can think of for now and my fingers are getting tired

is it worth investing 400$ on a steam deck or more, ( ROG Ally) just for L2? I literally use old refurbished pc's that cost 80$, all you need is at least a 2nd gen i5, an SSD and 8 GB ram for the game.

At the start of classic I was using small form factor HP/compaq business machines I bought off ebay. All of them were i5s with one 2500 sandy bridge and the rest 3470 and 3470s models with 4gb ram and integrated graphics. A couple of them had HDDs that were dying but it was good enough for one client (anything above 3 clients was painful). Giving them 8GB ram allowed for 5 clients to run "decently" with optimization. When I slapped some HD7570 1GB gddr5 cards that I bought for $9 each (ebay) it made 5 clients without optimization possible.

I upgraded one of the i5-3470 systems to an i7-3770 with 16gb ram a gt1030 2gb gddr5 card and a $21 new SP 512GB SSD (on amazon). That machine runs 10 clients without optimization pretty well although the orc event does get laggy. I wouldn't recommend a gt1030 these days unless you can get one for super cheap and make sure it's not a ddr3 model as they are significantly slower. I only bought the gt1030 because it was 2019 and SFF had mostly expensive options. A rx6400 is VASTLY better and not much more expensive than a gt1030 new. I recently assembled an i7 3770 SFF system for my sister's young kids and the rx6400 in it gives almost 2x the FPS of the gt1030.

I still have one of the i5-3470 machines running with 16gb ram and another Silicon Power 512gb ssd with a hd7570 still. It runs 9 clients pretty well but it's clear the GPU is limiting it and the CPU aint happy with that much load (4 cores but only 4 threads). So optimization is the name of the game for some of the clients. The 8 threads of an i7 would help but a better GPU would help more.

I recently assembled a machine to replace my old fx6300 system (mobo issue). Bought a dell optiplex 7010 motherboard (773VG) off ebay for $16.32 shipped and a xeon e3-1230 SR00H for $12.71 shipped. Tossed that into the case of the fx6300 system and hooked everything up. It has a generic HP 8gb ddr3 (1600) stick and two ripjaws 4gb (1333) in it and it's running the ripjaws in dual channel fine while still using that single 8gb stick. It's kind of amazing but OEMs do mix memory stick sizes and such (6gb setups etc). Ran it 24 hours with prime 95 and it's been running a week straight with 10 clients no errors. It does get mad that there's no front panel connector, no case temp sensor or back case fan hooked up but F1 gets past that at boot up (I have plans to fix this for cheap). In benchmarks the i7-3770 CPU is about 3% faster simply because the i7 clocks about 300mhz higher. I'm planning to buy another xeon for my i5-3470 system since they are WAY cheaper than an i7-3770.

So while I might not of directly answered your question I think I at least provided something of value with my examples. Some could be cheaper alternatives unless you need the steamdeck or ROG ally for something else.
