My introduction

Hi all!!
I hope Everyone and their dogs are doing well! My name is Tessa and I Joined the group a couple days ago. I thought I should introduce myself finally LOL!
I'm 29 and live in the state of Florida in the united states. I only put that in here because I found out about this list from a web sight that is based in the Uk. I do not have a guide dog yet. I got accepted to the seeing eye Guide dog school in New Jersey. My class is scheduled for the month of June.
I am nervous yet excited at the same time! I have never owned a big dog before however I grew up with animals but they were little dogs and cats things like that LOL. I love cats however I do not have any pets.
If anybody has any questions suggestions or advice please do not hesitate in asking or telling me! I look forward to meeting others on this list and I think it will be educational informative as well as fun to be a member!

Hi Tessa, I'm Julia fromt he UK working my 3rd guide dog, Wren, a Flattie.
Well, doesnt matter if you dont yet have a guide dog, you can be picking our
brains in the mean time!!

nice to meet u. i am 33 and live in ireland. i just got my first dog last june. like u i was very nervous but excited too. i am so glad i did it though. i couldn't imagine not having a guide dog now. her name is callie. she is a lab x golden retriever. i look forward to chatting to u.

Hi Tessa,

Welcome to the list! My name is Sandra and I am from the UK. I have a
golden retriever/cross and her name is Karen. She is my fifth dog and I
really did have to wait quite some time to get her.

I'm sure that once you get your dog you won't look back. You may have some
bad days at the beginning but we are all here to listen to your highs and
woes. Good luck for June! it will soon come around.
