Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to deal with dog
distraction. When there are dogs tied up near our local shops,
Gypsy just won't find what I need. For example, the other day,
there were 2 dogs tied up near the bakery. I told Gypsy to "find
the bakery" and she wouldn't. I tried re working it, leash
corrections, and after about 10 times of this, I pointed to the
door and made her find it and then treated her when she did. And
today in the vets, she couldn't seem to find the counter, and the
only way i could keep control was to make her sit.
Any idas?
Thanks,
Steph

Hi Steph
Does the problem only happen when there are dogs tied up by the shop.
How about using food as a reward when Gypsy gets you to the door
of the shop.
