Hi all,
I'm Ana, from Portugal, and I'm working my 2nd
guide, a black cross golden lab.
This year, I probably will go with some friends in
a 5 Greek Islands and Turkey cruse.
It begins in Greece, Athenas, and it's made by
Louis Cruise line company.
They said they accept guide-dogs, but told me there
are some restrictions, like: don't garantee in case of an accident space in life
boat for the dog, and if he fall on the water they don't garantee they will save
him.
Does anyone in this list had made a cruise with a
guide-dog? Are this rules comoon to all companies?
They told me this international rules are mencioned
for all dogs that go in the cruise, and the common sense says that in case of
accident, they wouldn't apart me from Faruck, my guide.
But do you think I should insist in the garantee of
acomodation in a lifeboat for my dog, or am I being ridiculous?
At last but not the least, does anyone knows
anything about guide-dogs in greek Islands like rods, or santoriny, and Turkey?
Shall I be prepared to have problems in this places?
Thank you all!
Ana, Jiggy and Faruck
