The story revolves around a godman, Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol), whose followers (mostly from the disadvantaged sections of the society) have blind faith in him and will do anything that he asks of them. In reality, he is a conman who ensures that his devotees devote their wealth to him and stay attached to his ashram for life. Politicians Hukum Singh (Sachin Shroff) and incumbent CM Sundar Lal (Anil Rastogi) vie for Baba Nirala's support in the upcoming State Legislative Assembly Elections owing to his large number of followers for their vote bank politics, which only increase after a pop singer, Tinka Singh (Adhyayan Suman) decides to conduct tours with Baba Nirala to promote his new song.
Meanwhile, SI Ujagar Singh (Darshan Kumar) is a police officer who has little interest in his job and simply follows his seniors' orders, until he meets Dr. Natasha (Anupriya Goenka) in a case related to a skeleton found on the property of an industrial group which has good ties with Sundar Lal. Her constant pestering, along with the stubbornness of a small-time journalist Akhivendra Rathi alias Akki (Rajeev Siddhartha) encourages him to take up this case, along with his assistant senior constable Sadhu Sharma (Vikram Kocchar).
Season 1 and Season 2 was made available for streaming from August 28, 2020 and November 11, 2020 respectively on OTT Platform MX Player.[11]The series made its TV debut through The Q on October 11, 2021.
In December 2020, Jodhpur Court had served a legal notice to Bobby Deol and director Prakash Jha after Karni Sena filed a case on the actor and the director for hurting their sentiments and stated that the show "is an attempt to discredit Hinduism and Ashrams".[14][15] In October 2021, the Bajrang Dal group targeted Aashram web series sets and Prakash Jha for defaming Hindus and the entire aashram system, through his web series, whereas the sets were vandalised by the group.[16] Director Prakash Jha stated that "They will voice their concerns, but I think about the thousands who see my project in the correct manner. It is no joke that 1.5 billion people watched it. If we say there will be no objection, it is not right. "[17] Later, Bobby Deol supported Jha and stated that the show is not about defaming anyone and as an actor nothing else matters.[18]
Aashram season 4 is the long-awaited continuation of the Indian web series. Premiering in August 2020 on MX Player, an Indian streaming service, Aashram follows Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol), a self-proclaimed guru who leads a large contingent of devoted people. However, Baba's secret is that he is a pure conman, using his followers' money for his own personal luxuries and to influence the local political scene. On the other side of the story is an apathetic police officer, SI Ujagar Singh (Darshan Kumar), who discovers a murder that pits him up against Baba and his followers.
Season 2 of Aashram quickly followed just a few months after season 1 when it premiered in November 2020. Then there was a brief pause until Aashram season 3 was released in June 2022. With the third season ending on something of a cliffhanger and Baba victorious, season 4 cannot come soon enough. Fortunately for fans of the TV show, Aashram season 4 is confirmed and on the way.
Bobby Deol, the star of Aashram, released a trailer for Aashram season 4 on his Instagram with the hashtags "#Aashram4" and "#TeaserOutNow". This was posted on June 3, 2022, the same date that season 3 premiered, and served as both advertising for season 3 and a hint at what is yet to come.
Aashram season 4 has not been confirmed by any official channels as of yet, but the star of the series, Bobby Deol, made it clear in June 2022 that season 4 was planned. He even provided a trailer for the upcoming season on his Instagram. It may not be a press release, but it still means that Aashram season 4 is coming. However, no release date has been announced.
It has not been announced who will be returning for Aashram season 4, but based on both the teaser trailer and how season 3 ended, assumptions can be made. Characters that should be expected to return for season 4 include Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol) of course, Bhupendra "Bhopa Swami" Singh (Chandan Roy Sanyal), Parminder "Pammi" Lochan (Aaditi Pohankar), Satwinder "Satti" Lochan (Tushar Pandey), and Sub-Inspector Ujagar Singh (Darshan Kumar).
The end of Aashram season 3 sees Baba becoming "Bhagwan", which means his followers now essentially see him as a deity on Earth. It is the apex of power he can achieve and season 4 will most likely see Baba doing whatever he can to retain this new title. However, Baba has also been sent to jail at the end of season 3 and the season 4 teaser sees the Bhagwan preaching from prison that a god cannot be contained. Baba's clash with the law will be even more contentious in Aashram season 4.
The trailer for Aashram season 4 shows Baba standing in front of a crowd saying, "I am God. I am above your law. I have created this heaven. How can you arrest God?" It then goes on to show Pammi willingly returning to Baba's aashram. However, Baba's lieutenant Bhopa Singh tells Pammi to stay away before the teaser ends with her dressed as a bride. It appears that Pammi and Baba's relationship could be the main storyline of Aashram season 4.

"Sandip Burman & Friends - East Meets Jazz," a concert fusing ancient Indian rhythms with modern jazz improvisation, will take place Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Fairfield University's Wien Experimental Theatre in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. A second concert will begin at 9 p.m.
The concert will feature the Quick Center for the Arts' artist-in-residence Sandip Burman, a master of the tabla, a pair of Indian drums played with the fingers, palms and heels of the hand in complex, often high-velocity Eastern rhythms. He will be joined by expressive guitarist and composer Paul Bollenback, accomplished jazz saxophonist David Pietro and other guests. Burman's jazz fusion work has been highly acclaimed and his East Meets Jazz, which has included several greats of jazz, rock and R&B, has toured nationally in major venues and festivals.
Born in Durgapur, India, Burman was just six when he took up the tabla, as a student of tabla master Pandit Shyamal Bose of Calcutta. The youngster quickly took an intense interest in his musical studies, developing a reputation for dazzling speeds and spontaneous innovations while retaining tonal purity. As a young man, he played with India's most celebrated musicians, including legendary sitar player Ravi Shankar and sarod player Rajeev Taranath.
Burman came to the United States in the late 1980s, when the Calcutta ashram at which he taught sent him to instruct students in its Los Angeles branch. Here he has collaborated and toured with many prominent musicians, including Beacute;la Fleck, Jack DeJohnette, Steve Smith (Journey), Victor Bailey (Weather Report), Al DiMeola, Glen Valez and many more. His career highlights reflect his eclectic spirit, including performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., House of Blues Chicago, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Ravinia Festival and the Monterey World One Festival.
