Years later, Nargis grows up to be a beautiful and patriotic girl, who loves her country and hates India. She is engaged to Major Ansari (Ashish Vidyarthi), a Pakistani army officer. However, her life changes when she meets Raj, an Indian army officer, who is posted at the border near her village. Raj saves Nargis from a landmine and falls in love with her. Nargis initially rejects him, but soon develops feelings for him as well.

Meanwhile, the Kargil War breaks out between India and Pakistan, and both Raj and Ansari are involved in the combat. Raj's brother Ranveer (Aditya Pancholi) and friend Hari (Rajat Bedi) are also part of the Indian army. Ranveer is married to Manjeet (Mink Singh), who is pregnant with his child. Hari is in love with Nargis' friend Dadi (Dina Pathak), who is also a Pakistani.

The film depicts the hardships and sacrifices of the soldiers and their families during the war. It also shows how Nargis and Raj struggle to keep their love alive amidst the hostility and violence. The film ends with a climactic battle, where Raj and Ansari face each other on the battlefield.

Review

Border Hindustan Ka is a typical Bollywood masala film, which tries to mix action, romance, drama, patriotism and comedy. The film has a weak script, which is full of clichés, stereotypes and melodrama. The film relies heavily on the star power of Akshaye Khanna, who has a cameo role as a fighter pilot. However, his presence does not add much value to the film.

The film's biggest flaw is its portrayal of Pakistan and its people. The film shows Pakistan as a villainous country, which is bent on destroying India. The film also depicts Pakistanis as either terrorists, traitors or cowards. The film does not attempt to show any positive or realistic aspects of Pakistan or its culture. The film also fails to address the complex political and historical issues behind the conflict.

The film's only saving grace is its music, composed by Dilip-Hari Kishen. The film has some catchy songs, such as "Aaj Hindustan Ki Kasam Khayenge", "Dil Ro Raha Hai Mera" and "Maa Tujhe Salaam". The songs are well-sung by popular singers like Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam and Sukhwinder Singh.

The Marathi dubbing of the film is decent, but not very impressive. The dialogues are translated well, but some of the expressions and emotions are lost in translation. The dubbing also does not match the lip movements of the actors.

Verdict

Border Hindustan Ka is a mediocre film, which does not offer anything new or exciting to the viewers. The film is a poor attempt at making a patriotic war drama, which ends up being a boring and biased affair. The film is not worth watching, even for Akshaye Khanna's fans.
