Hello friends of the Guelph Groove!

As some of you may know, the Guelph Groove is back up and running! Regular monthly Grooves are now happening on the 1st Saturday of each month. Our next event is this coming Saturday November 4th at 42 Quebec Street at the Guelph Youth Dance Studio. Doors are at 7:15pm, opening circle and dance begins at 7:30pm and goes until 9:00pm. Wonderful, long time Groove DJ Serena will be providing the music this week!

My apologies for this late notice! As a new organizer of the Groove I am still getting my bearings and settling into my role. My hope is to get the Groove back up and running smoothly, and to continue to provide more meditative dance experiences in the Guelph community. 

Please see below for some reminders about what to expect at the Groove...

- No Shoes or partners necessary!

- The Groove is a meditative dance experience open to all bodies and abilities

- We are inspired by the 5Rhythms and flow from fast to slow to support in our spiritual dance journey

- After the opening circle we dance without talking until 9pm, and close with a short closing circle 

- Doors open at 7:15pm and dance begins at 7:30pm. Doors will close at 7:45pm sharp. In the time before opening circle, you can stretch, dance or chat with fellow dancers - take the time to prepare yourself for the meditative dance journey in whatever way is needed!

- We have a locked coat room for coats, bags and footwear

- Street parking is available in the downtown area, but can fill up quickly on a Saturday, so give yourself enough time to find a parking spot nearby

- Remember to dress in comfortable clothes that you can move in, and bring a water bottle (sinks in the washroom are small, making it difficult to refill bottles)

- The space is accessible, but arrangements must be made in advance to meet at the elevator - please email theguel...@gmail.com for this

- Is a scent free space so please no perfumes/ colognes/ strong deodorants 

- Get out of your head, and into your body! Come and enjoy the dance :)
