Andaaz is Arizona's one and only Competitive Collegiate Coed Bollywood Fusion Dance Team. We emphasize dance, community, and culture not only on campus but across the country. We compete nationally amongst other collegiate teams from other universities.
Competitions allow our team to grow as a community while networking with other dancers that are ignited with the same passion for South Asian dance as we are. This is a unique team that teaches and values time management, dedication, and culture. We are excited to have you all try out and become part of our family! Our favourite stories, deepest emotions and strongest memories are built around food. Families and friends gather to eat. In love, we want to share meals with partners. Whatever part of the world we come from, and however we define family and our chosen ones, food is the language of love. And the most precious family recipes are shaped by andaaz, that indescribable, magical instinct that makes everything more delicious.
Andaaz was born of this conversation and a shared passion for helping people archive and pass on heirloom recipes and family histories. Named for the instinctual way in which home cooks of the sub-continent create and pass on recipes, we want to make preserving rich culinary traditions across communities and countries the rule and not the exception.
Yes! For an extra fee, we can have a member of our team record and/or transcribe recipes and stories from family members. We also assist with photography, if needed. These costs are calculated based on the scope of work.
Yes, Chinmayee Manjunath will be working with you closely to edit the content of the book. She has previously worked with renowned chefs and writers as a books editor and comes with 15+ years of experience in publishing.
