Apart from complex puzzles that are physics based, the player gains access to two lenses with supernatural abilities. With one, they can see hidden codes and with the other they can see what had happened in the past. The player occasionally gets to see letters from their master Da Vinci and also from the antagonists.

Blue Brain Games is an indie team of graphic artists and developers, all of whom are people interested in both 3D puzzle games and the renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci. The House of Da Vinci was successfully funded on Kickstarter in late 2016. 2,391 adventure game enthusiasts backed the game.[1]

Merlina McGovern of Adventure Gamers rated the game 3.5 out of 5 wrote that "Although The House of Da Vinci is slightly marred by persnickety mechanics and the occasionally frustrating puzzle, exploring the mind of a genius by reverse engineering his inventions will pull you into a gorgeous Renaissance world and keep you challenged throughout."[2]

AppUnwrapper', in their review wrote, "If you're a fan of The Room series by Fireproof Games and can't wait for the fourth one to release, Blue Brain Games' The House of Da Vinci is the closest thing you can get to the real thing."[3]

Reviewing the iOS version, Emily Sowden of Pocket Gamer said "The House of Da Vinci has two major areas to focus on. One: the unavoidable fact that it's essentially The Room in a different package. Two: the unavoidable fact that it's actually a decent game."[4]

Maria Alexander of Droidgamer rated the game 9/10. The game was rated 9 for aesthetics, 9.2 for gameplay, 8.7 for innovation and 9.1 for value. "The House of Da Vinci is a massive, gorgeous, cleverly designed puzzler that gives The Room, its main inspiration, a pretty good run for its money.", she said.[5]

On December 4, 2019, Blue Brain Games released a sequel, The House of Da Vinci 2, for iOS.[7] A Google Play Store version was released on February 18, 2020, with a Steam version on May 29, 2020.[8]

To the left to the ticket office, visitors can find the stone house where he lived composed of 3 rooms: the first one has an old fireplace, a wooden table and a carved face of a serious Leonardo with a long beard who seems to stare at all visitors entering the room. The room to the right collects some panels with the history of the house while the one on the left hosts the main new addition to the museum.

Here, visitors are welcomed by a life-sized hologram of an old da Vinci who entertains the public by directly recounting his life story, sharing information on his land and some details of his quite mysterious private life.

As you arrive here, you can feel in the air the deep connection that exists between Leonardo and those landscapes and the impossibility of separating them. The gentle hills, the wide fields of vineyards and olive trees and the sun itself are integral parts of the museum and of its history: this beauty has doubtless contributed to envelope and influence the fantasy, wits, creativity and genius of one of the greatest men in the world.

From Anchiano, you can follow one of the many itineraries that allow you to explore the surrounding territory. One of the most beautiful is known as Strada Verde (or Green Road) that links Anchiano to Vinci through a very old trail through the woods, surrounded by the natural beauty of this corner of Tuscany.

Behind the castle of the Conti Guidi, in the small but lovely center of town, you will notice a wooden representation of the Vitruvian Man, a drawing by Leonardo in which he represented a man with the ideal proportions. From this terrace, you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the surrounding hills.

The Leonardo Museum is arranged in two buildings which cover the history of the master both as architect and scientist. The permanent exhibit covers the life and work of the genius da Vinci through machines, digital reconstructions of his projects, high-definition, full-scale reproductions of his paintings and many details and anecdotes of his life. The museum hosts education activities for children that allow them to put themselves in the shoes of Leonardo the artists, the scientist and engineer.

At the end of October 2016, a brand new section on "Leonardo and Anatomy" will open and new activities will be added for kids and adults alike on Leonardo's interest for the human body. We highly recommend a visit to this museum because it is interactive and fun!

In front of Palazzina Uzielli, which hosts part of the museum, you will find Piazza dei Guidi, designed by the artist Mimmo Paladino, who was inspired both by Leonardo as scientist as well as artist in the design and construction of the square.

Take a train which stops in Empoli. (Italian Railways website: www.trenitalia.com). From here, take a bus which heads to Vinci, ask at the bus station for bus schedules.

By car:

From either Pisa or Florence, take the highway FI-PI-LI and exit in Empoli. Here follow the signs that indicate Vinci. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Anchiano is only 3 km from Vinci, you will easily find signs to get to the Birthplace of Leonardo!

Opened in 2009, Da Vinci Schools is known for its innovative approach to project-based, real-world learning, connecting to industry, and bridging the gap between K-12, college and career.

The Civil Engineering and Architecture class at Da Vinci Science held its final gathering on June 25, a banquet celebration to hand over the keys to the tiny house they built for Da Vinci RISE High and to honor the contributions of the students, staff, partners, mentors and supporters who contributed to this project.

Gensler provided the conceptual design for the space, while Russ Tyner and Houston/Tyner provided the detailed framing design. Meanwhile, professors from the Construction Management Department at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo helped to develop an organizational structure for the construction site: the students were organized under a pyramid, with two female superintendents in charge of distributing information to the foremen, and four foremen each in charge of a team of students, with the purpose of keeping all students working together effectively and safely.

During the semester-long build, students learned a wide range of hands-on skills including safety, measuring, proper hammering, drilling, nailing, sawing, framing, insulation, waterproofing, drainage, and more.

Industry partners, friends and family experienced the tiny house first-hand at the banquet celebration. The tiny house may eventually be used at both the RISE-Hawthorne and RISE at A Place Called Home locations.

The civil engineering and architecture course uses Project Lead The Way curriculum, the gold standard of project-based STEM curricula. The Civil Engineering Pathway at Da Vinci Science is one of nine career technical education pathways offered at Da Vinci Schools. All students at Da Vinci simultaneously prepare for college and career by taking college preparatory coursework and career technical education classes.

Living in a recovery house is an unusual experience. The statistics indicate that one out of nine people are an addict/alcoholic. So, just with that statistic just over ten percent of the population may ever even hear of a recovery house. And then only less than three percent will ever be a resident of a recovery house.

I write in jest, but seriously a recovery house is a place where addicts can put their life together again after the devastation of active addiction. It is place where everyone is also learning to incorporate 12 step recovery in their every day life. And because there are others doing the same, there is much support and accountability. Even better, you gain a new set of friends who become family.

Flexible Schedules
School counselors collaborate with students and their parents/guardians to design a schedule that meets both their academic and personal needs. Students are required to attend class in person twice each week, although they are encouraged to attend as much as possible on scheduled school days.

Blended Learning
The flexible schedule at RISE schools is made possible through the use of blended learning. Students digitally access coursework through Google Classroom and Canvas to prepare for in-person instruction and project work time.

Mastery- and Competency-based Instruction
Students are evaluated based on the knowledge and skills they demonstrate rather than time in class or work completion. They are given multiple opportunities to revise and strengthen their work after receiving feedback from their teacher. This system allows students to work at their own pace as they earn credits toward graduation.

Career Readiness
Students engage in a variety of activities to expose them to postsecondary options and prepare them for life after graduation, including a mandatory World of Work course to learn how to create a resume, apply for a job, and interview; field experiences at local workplaces; and project-based learning aligned to actual careers.
