I just discovered the update possibility for Panotoour Pro. Unfortunately I only have PanoTour Pro 2.5 and not 2.5.14.
Is the update package really only working with the 2.5.14 version or is there a trick or hack to make it work with PanoTour 2.5 as well?
I tried to update my PanoTour Pro to 2.5.14 this morning, but I could not find a download since the jerks at GoPro have killed the old download server.
Any idea where I could find a PanoTour Pro 2.5.14 download these days?
Really just need the installer file, I guess my license will be OK with that upgrade.

Thanks for the download links.
Now I just need to find out how to convice Panotour to export the xml fiels without encryption (yes, I have entered the license details for the registration and Panotour says that it is happy with the registration information), but maybe it is time anyway to move on anyway and leave panotour behind.

hey! i am having some problems regarding sounds in google chrome. for a group i use a soundfile but the sound button in the navi doesnt work. if i click, then the sound starts to loop. also if i jump into a pano in another group the sound keeps playing (it should stop and only work inside the group. the troubles i have in google chrome and oper. firefox and edge is working fine. i use latest panotour version + latest krpano update. - thats the project - thx for the help

Since upgrading my KRPano license and installing the PTP update there's a dialog box that appears on every build saying it's using a different version of KRPano. I can understand this on the first build or rebuild of a project, but when you're making small changes and building it becomes annoying and pointless. Is there any way to get rid of this?

Alexander Popov has fixed panotour default combobox plugin which had a bug when using krpano 1.20.7, he's kindly said it's ok to share his fixed version which I've attached to this post.

Here's the fault as described by Klaus and also his manual xml code edit fix if you don't use the revised version of the plugin attached . In the build_skin.xml there is only one combobox design named 'glas'
defined. But when building the combobox no design name is given - and when no name was given, the script is trying to use a design named 'default'. But there is no 'default' design defined.

Unfortunately I've identified a repeatable problem with the new projectname.js file that gets generated. Within any planar image which is taller than it is wide, the hotspots seem to be scaled incorrectly so that they are all "shrunken" towards the middle of the image. This does not happen for landscape oriented planars nor full equirectangulars.

But maybe this is the reason - in version 1.20 partial panos are supported now, in older versions such panos were falling back to flat panos - and the hotspot coordinates between these pano-types can be different. But I had to admit I don't know yet how Panotour handles this case.

Hi Klaus - apologies for huge delay after you took the time to respond ...Covid didn't get me, but it sure as hell beat up my business! This issue just came up again and I've updated to latest krPano but problem still remains. I created a screen capture video to demonstrate exact reproduction and conclude that it doesn't have anything to do with Panotour since the only file to change in this demo is the projectname.js file.

Technically it looks like the flat image was defined as partial pano and the PTP wrongly relied on the automatic fallback to flat-panos in older versions.
Since version 1.20 partial panos are fully supported in HTML5 and so when the xml code makes wrong assumptions this could explain the wrong display.

I had to re-install my MacOS yesterday, and now when I open up Panotour Pro, the plugins or template files cannot be found.
I had some custom ones in the user folder + custom templates and html pages etc.
I also noticed that I do not get the warning that a newer version of krpano will be used when attempting to build a tour.
I get the following error message (attached) when trying to build a tour or open an existing tour file:
Error found in template "core.tmpl" Template not found, core.tmpl

I also got informed about that just two days ago and I don't know any reasons or internals, but at least I can answer some questions about what that would mean for krpano and for the future support for Panotour Pro - so here answers from my side:

From krpano side basically nothing will change or be different now. krpano was always fully independent and will be also in future. The krpano development itself is very good ongoing (although a bit slower than wished) and the next release is not far away and will bring some nice new features.

With the last Panotour Pro release (version 2.5.14) Kolor has opened the access to its previously internal template files to make it possible to edit or update them manually. That means some updates to Panotour Pro are still possible.

I will try to use that new opened access to provide 'update-packages' for Panotour Pro when new krpano versions will be released. This should make it easier to use the latest krpano version in Panotour Pro and maybe also add some fixes to some templates when necessary.

One important note here - Panotour Pro includes an exportable krpano license - and if you haven't already exported that license, I would recommend doing that as soon as possible! The license export will be only possible as long as the license servers from Kolor are working!

Great idea! Thanks Klaus for your help in advance! Please support Panotour with update packages and fixes as long as it is possible. So many users depend on this software and would be willing (imo) to even pay for updates and support. So, please don't leave us hanging...

with the demise of Kolor I'm in the process of making a safe backup of the software and licenses (like a lot of other users) but I've hit a snag with requesting the KRPano license for KRPano 1.19-pr16.

There is no obvious support email link on any of the GoPro pages. Ok problem solved, I retried the get License key option in PTP and my email was accepted this time and license retrieved, nothing has changed my end and I know with certainty the email was correctly entered every time.

I am sure the closing of PTP has caused (or will cause in the future) quite a few problems for those who relied on their software for client projects. I know I am currently counting my lucky stars that I decided a long time ago to learn and use KRPano for my projects rather than PTP. I don't want to speak out of turn but it would make me feel more comfortable if I understood what the future plans are for KRPano and what assurances there are that the same thing (or similar) won't happen to KRPano in the future as it has with Kolor / PTP (i.e. sold off, shut down or similar).

So my question to Klaus is what does the KRPano roadmap look like, is there a business model to take it to the cloud on a subscription basis or other model to secure future revenues? And what can we do as supporters of KRPano to make sure it has a healthy future?

i guess krpano is fully owned by klaus and therefore cant be purchased and dropped later by another player.
so as long as he likes what he does and as long as he can make a living out of it, you dont need to be worried about krpano.

could based subscription software as service etc is widely reviled by many, adobe CC moving to such a model was very unpopular as i recall, but an advanced krpano gui editor as plugin for a reasonable fee would be fine for many users i assume

Hi, I hadn't used Panotour since a bit before Gorro called it quits. I had several finished projects, and they had been fine until now. I remember having exported the krpano key from panoutour a long while ago, but can't find it. However, Inside panotour I clicked on export krpano license, and a message says that Kolor servers do not exist anymore, but that if I had exported it again, I could be sent. So I did, and received by email a key.
Problem is, I input that key in the krpano app, and it says Base license key is missing.
Could anyone please advise on how to procede to get that base key or fix this. Many thanks!
