Yes, it should be out soon; we're working on it at this very moment. (There was some confusion that arose from what we're almost positive was a genuine JDK bug fixed only in Java 7.)

Any word on this? There was a brief flurry of JDK 5 backport activity mid-March, git branch seems OK, but nothing since then. I'd be interested in seeing an artifact published.
