Dear Guardian API Team,

I am currently working on a scientific publication that involves analyzing articles from The Guardian for the purpose of detecting significant historical events with Machine Learning. This paper is in the final stages of preparation and is intended for academic purposes, with no commercial use involved.

As part of the research, I have collected a dataset consisting of article metadata and full-text articles using the API. I would like to publish this dataset on Zenodo (https://zenodo.org/) in order to provide open access to other researchers in the field and to ensure proper reproducibility of the results. I understand that The Guardian’s content is protected under copyright, and I want to make sure that my intention to share this data publicly is in compliance with your guidelines.

If this is not permissible then of course we would publish the scientific paper without adding the dataset to Zenodo.

Could you kindly let me know if this type of sharing would be permissible, given that the dataset will be used solely for non-commercial academic purposes? If necessary, I am happy to provide further details about the dataset and the research it supports.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
