I am a PhD student researching how different actors are trying to influence the policy discourse. As part of my research, I am gathering text data from various international news sources to perform a comparative analysis using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Discourse Network Analysis.
My question concerns Section 6(g) of the Open Platform Terms and Conditions. This section prohibits the use of your API content for machine learning, text mining, and data analysis purposes. Given that these methods are central to my academic work, I would like to kindly ask whether it would be possible to be granted an exemption from these specific restrictions under your terms.
