Guardian Content API Wordpress Plugin version 0.4.2 released

Yesterday we released version 0.4.2 of the guardian wordpress plugin.

You should already have received a notification from wordpress in the dashboard to let you know that an update is available, and it should be a single click to update within the wordpress update panel.

This update contains a fix for 3 cross-site scripting vulnerabilities that affected previous versions.  Thanks to Jon Cave for responsibly disclosing the security issues to us.

We recommend that you upgrade from any earlier versions to 0.4.2 as soon as possible.

We regret to note that due to the use of escaping functions introduced in wordpress 2.8, we no longer support wordpress 2.6, instead our minimum wordpress version is now wordpress 2.8. We have tested the plugin up to the latest stable version of wordpress (3.3.1) which we strongly recommend you use where possible to ensure the security of your wordpress installation.

Due to the security concerns, the plugin was removed from wordpress's plugin repository until we could get a fix released. With this release the plugin is now available once more from the repository.
