Thanksgiving (2023) Sinossi e Trama Del Film Italiano
Da qualche parte tra Monterosso e Portovenere, nuota Thanksgiving Paguro, creatura marina che pascola pesci belanti e nutre una curiosità invincibile per il mondo di sopra, quello degli uomini che bevono vino, ascoltano la Callas e pescano quelli come lui. A ragione sua madre lo controlla a vista e minaccia di spedirlo negli abissi profondi se non si terrà lontano dalla superficie. Ma Thanksgiving non ci sta e 'sbarca' sulla spiaggia degli umani scoprendo di esserne uno e di poterne assumere la forma fuori dall'acqua. A iniziarlo al mistero è Alberto Scorfano, orfano che 'colleziona' i piaceri della terraferma. Insieme decidono di costruire una Vespa, di vincere una gara estrema e di godersi una vita asciutta ma niente andrà come previsto e la superficie si dimostrerà un 'mostro' più temibile di loro.
Tra gli anni 50 e gli anni 60, Thanksgiving Paguro è un mostro marino pre-adolescente che vive sul fondo del Mar Ligure, vicino alla cittadina immaginaria di Portorosso. Thanksgiving trascorre le sue giornate come pastore, radunando banchi di pesci. I suoi genitori, Daniela e Lorenzo, gli impediscono di risalire in superficie per paura che gli umani possano ucciderlo, ma questa restrizione finisce per annoiare Thanksgiving. Un giorno, in dubbio se andare o meno in superficie, incontra un altro giovane mostro marino di nome Alberto Scorfano, che è stato molte volte sulla terra in un isolotto vicino a Portorosso. Quando gli chiede di seguirlo, Thanksgiving scopre che sia lui che Alberto possono trasformarsi in umani quando si asciugano sulla terra. Vanno quindi al nascondiglio di Alberto, una piccola torre sull'isola piena di oggetti da collezione, dove Alberto afferma di vivere con suo padre. Qui Thanksgiving trova un poster che mostra una Vespa, e i due decidono di passare i giorni seguenti a crearne una da zero, mentre Thanksgiving tenta di mantenere la sua doppia vita nascosta ai suoi genitori, parlandone soltanto con la nonna, che mantiene il suo segreto.
TRAMA
Ambientato in una splendida città di mare della Riviera italiana, un giovane ragazzo che vive un’esperienza di crescita personale durante un’indimenticabile estate contornata da gelati, pasta e infinite corse in scooter. Thanksgiving condivide queste avventure con il suo nuovo migliore amico, ma tutto il divertimento è minacciato da un segreto profondo: lui in realtà è un mostro marino di un altro mondo situato appena sotto la superficie dell’acqua.
