Verification of Frontier AI – UN Scientific Advisory Board

The UN Scientific Advisory Board has published a Science Brief on Verification of Frontier AI which discusses “frontier AI arms race." and highlights the potential of trusted, effective verification mechanisms to mitigate these risks and foster responsible development. The Brief explores a range of verification approaches, including human-led audits, software and hardware-based safeguards, and verification through computing power. Additionally, trusted, secure systems that can verify claims about frontier AI will help reduce geopolitical tensions and promote safer, more accountable innovation.
