It is located to the south of Driftveil City, where the Cold Storage used to be in Pokémon Black and White. It is also connected to the Relic Passage and contains a harbor where one ship is perpetually docked. Prominent Trainers from previous games gather here to participate in battles in an eight-person single-elimination tournament. Single Battles, Double Battles, Triple Battles, and Rotation Battles are held here. Special Trainers can be downloaded via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It also contains the Move Reminder, Move Deleter, and several Move Tutors.
Unlocked when the Pokémon World Tournament is first visited, this tournament has many Trainers, with eighteen different competitors. All Pokémon are able to battle in this tournament. The first time it is entered, only Hugh, Cheren, and Colress can be battled, exclusively using level 25 Pokémon. The player, however, may battle with Pokémon of higher levels without being reduced. All entries from the second onward have different Trainers, with the additional restriction of all Pokémon being reduced to level 25.
The opponents and their teams are the same as the ones from the Driftveil Tournament; however, Pokémon are set to level 50 instead. Additionally, Trainers will choose one Pokémon from each other's teams to be swapped before battle. All Pokémon are able to battle in this tournament. This is unlocked after the Driftveil Tournament has been won once.
Several tournaments could only be downloaded via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Only data for three download tournaments could be saved at a time. Since May 20, 2014, due to the closure of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, tournaments can no longer be downloaded.
The opponents consist of Gym Leaders from the Unova region, along with former Gym Leaders Cilan, Chili, Cress, Lenora, and Brycen. All Pokémon are able to battle in this tournament. This is unlocked after entering the Hall of Fame.
The rules are the same as those of the Rental Tournament, except all rental Pokémon will be fully evolved, with the exception of Porygon2. Opponents will consist of those of the World Leaders tournament, but their rental Pokémon will vary regardless of the Trainer. This is unlocked after winning the Driftveil, Rental, Unova Leaders, Kanto Leaders, Johto Leaders, Hoenn Leaders, and Sinnoh Leaders Tournaments once.
The rules are the same as those of the Mix Tournament, except that Pokémon of the same species are not allowed, Soul Dew and Sky Drop are banned, and the Pokémon listed below are banned. Opponents consist of only Gym Leaders from Black 2 and White 2, and they will use the same teams from the World Leaders tournament. This is unlocked after winning the Driftveil, Mix, Unova Leaders, Kanto Leaders, Johto Leaders, Hoenn Leaders, and Sinnoh Leaders Tournaments once.
A tournament bearing the Pokémon World Tournament's name, called the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup, was held in Lacunosa Town from Jostling for the Junior Cup! to Goodbye, Junior Cup - Hello Adventure!. The winner of the tournament was given the right to challenge Alder.
Located south of Driftveil City within the Unova Region, there is a tournament building where you can go to do these battles. The battles seem to be organised by the Sinnoh Champion Cynthia. In it, you will face up against numerous trainers, where if you beat them, you can get to the next round. However, the trainers within the tournament are a bit different to normal trainers.
The right hand tournament is where things start to get interesting. This is a legacy tournament and features various challenges from a variety of trainers. They unlock as you get further through them, and provide a significant challenge. These battles can be done in Single, Double, Triple or Rotation and repeated at will.
Each tournament has got their own collection of trainers to battle, with some tournaments only having a handful of trainers that can actually be battled with the rest seen in the tournament being guaranteed to not pass through the first round. Use the drop down menu to navigate the trainer listings for each tournament
PWT is a place similar to the Battle Subway. Take part in an eight trainer tournament (three battles) to earn Battle Points. There are a variety of tournaments, some which must be unlocked. Defeat the Pokemon League to bring Gym Leaders from all past games into the Pokemon World Tournament.
Unlike real battles, the Pokemon World Tournament does not reward you with Experience Points or Money. Instead, you battle three trainers with select Pokemon to earn Battle Points (BP). The Battle Points can then be spent on items at the two counter in the lobby. Before beating the Pokemon League, there are four different tournaments, each with four types of battles.
The first time you visit, only the Driftveil Tournament will be available. After the story-related battles, three more tournaments will be unlocked. These tournaments allow you to face one regular trainer and two of the first five trainers in B2W2's Unova (Plus Bianca).
The Driftveil Tournament sets all Pokemon to Level 25. Select eligable Pokemon from your party to enter the tournament. If your Pokemon are above or under Leel 25, their stats and levels will be altered to Level 25. All Moves will remain the same, however.
The Rental Tournament gives everyone random Pokemon at Level 50. Before the tournament, the receptionist will give you three options. Select one to get a random team, complete with hold items and various move sets.
The Mix Tournament sets all Pokemon to Level 50. Select eligable Pokemon from your party to enter the tournament. If your Pokemon are above or under Level 50, their stats and levels will be altered to Level 50. All Moves will remain the same, however.
Download various tournaments over Nintendo Wi-Fi by interacting with the black and green computer to the left of the green attendant. There will be various tournaments with various BP rewards. Tournaments will vary on time-frames.
The Tournaments from the Red Attendant are unlocked after the Pokemon League. These tournaments feature Gym Leaders from various regions in the Pokemon World. Other tournaments will be unlocked after defeating the first five region leader tournaments, and will continue to feature all the different Gym Leaders. The battle types are the same as the other tournaments: Single, Double, Triple, Rotation.
The Type Expert Tournament is a special tournament where all trainers use a specific Type of Pokemon. Pick from a list of all Types at the beginning of the tournament. After selecting a type to challenge, you must select a team of Pokemon of the exact same type.
**UPDATE 2022: It appears that the way that wiimmfi is working now its offering a different gift every day, which means that changing the system date on your 3DS changes the gift you receive, Im going to link another reddit post where you can see other DNS's you can go ahead and try and also in the comments there is lists for the pokemons you can receive each day depending on your game: _diamond_and_pearl_mystery_gifts_not/

I have downloaded the PWT Download Tournaments, but I want to create a custom Tournament , I already have edit the trainers and pokemons , but after saving my save file , when i run it , that not work... there are trainers of World Championships... I don't know where i'm failing...thanks for answers!
I have downloaded Download tournofament editor and I have edited a tournament. I have change trainers , pokemons , and rules. I saved my save and all that I have edited not work...why ? I have maybe forgot to do anything...
Sorry for my incompetence but how do you put your tournament in the game once you make it? Like I've made my tournament and saved it as both a .sav and .pwt but I have no idea how to get it into my ROM. Thanks!
Incidentally, research by the altwfc.net team showed that the very first byte in the tournament data probably determines which games can download the tournament. 0x00 = Black 2, 0x01 = White 2, 0x02 = Both.
This comment is probably long overdue,but when I play as Rosa,I still get Hilda as my opponent in pwt. Is there any way that I can set the special trainer as Hilbert in the pwt download tournament?
Was trying to make my own tournament but every time I fight one of the filler trainers the game says an "error has occurred" I have tried changing the Pokemon date source from pwt to ROM to ROM 2 nothing changes. I do apologise if this is a noobish question I am new to this. ^^"
The first is Pokémon World Tournament, the heavily advertised new "Battle Frontier"-type mode. Within, you can enter tournaments of varying difficulties against various opponents. Eventually, you gain access to tournaments against the gym leaders from Unova, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kanto, and Johto, and a final tournament against champions like Lance and Cynthia. While it may prove too challenging for inexperienced players, those with any kind of background in the series should have a blast fighting against trainers from the past to earn Battle Points (which they can use on prizes).
