Hey there, i'm trying to play pokemon on my DeSmume emulator but everytime i hit any key on the keyboard, It will simply say "State 1 selected" "State 2 selected" and so on... I am however able to play the game if i hit keys while holding down on the Ctrl button. Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm able to play the same game with the same emulator on my other pc but this problem only exists when i'm on my laptop.
I would greatly appreciate any help.
I've just recently started playing Pokemin HeartGold on the Desmume emulator, i was on about 14 hours playtime.
But just this morning i was moving around some folders into other folders on my desktop, including the Desmume folders (Battery, Saves, Cheats and .Exe). After this i tried to play some pokemon but when i booted up the desmume client and selected the HeartGold rom it took me to the starting screen and my saves was gone.
I saved my progress by using the actual save option inside the game, not on the Desmume client, this worked perfectly every time except for now.
desmume expects the .dsv to be in a certain place, to store your save game. if you moved it, it's gone. move it back where it's supposed to go. you can tell where its supposed to go by searching for *.dsv and looking at timestamps, or look where desmume creates a .dsv if there isn't one already. we can't help you do this, only you know what kind of disorganization you have on your hard disk. but i suggest copying everything you can think of before you start, in case you mess up.
