Hey guys,

So, we (Paulina and I) have been working on our finance project. You can find the excel file on Dropbox - Guacala - FINANCE ROCKS!

Things to do:

1.- Projections for Inventories, Receivables and Payables (we already did input the current numbers)
2.- We need to market return for the beta which we don´t have. Therefore we need the historical prices and the ROE for each year. 10 last years
3.- We need the market beta, which we don´t have. Since we don´t have clear competitors, we will ask the tutor about this (so no WACC yet).
4.- We need the dividends paid in the previous year (for 2). 10 last years
5.- We need to ask the tutor about the Rf.

So, we need to do for tomorrow 1, 2 and 4 and then e-mail the professor.

So, the distribution of the homework will be as follows:

1.- Karen & Albert
2.- Pedro & Paulina
4.- Craig & Vignesh (since they are both leaving)

DEADLINE FOR THIS: Tonight or tomorrow morning (10AM tops)

I will e-mail the tutor tomorrow, after we have this information, and ask her how we can solve this.

Cheers,

Guys,
I have put on dropbox the following data:

One Sheet with:
  • Disney Share Values for the last 10y (Adjusted Closure to include dividends and splits);
  • S&P500 for the last 10y to evaluate the average market return
  • US 10Y BONDS for the Return Risk-free asset
Also adapted the VW example Sheet to our case to calculate the Beta of Disney.

I reached a number of 1.09 but on reuters they show it as 1,2... dont know why the difference...

See you guys and enjoy dublin!
