Hello All!

Many thanks to those of you who came to the Darfur Feast: Dessert Edition tonight! The event was superb, with an excellent turnout. I just wanted to let you know about an upcoming event this Friday, co-sponsored by ResLife, DICE, SSTOP, STAND, and Invisible Children.

SafeHaven Uganda

Join us for food, fellowship, and conversation as Fr. David Martin Ssentamu of Uganda speaks about the plight of the vulnerable girl-child and the high incidence of child prostitution as a social justice concern. Fr. David is working to establish a non-profit organization to provide alternatives to sex work to children orphaned and marginalized by civil war, HIV/AIDS, and extreme poverty. The organization, SafeHaven Uganda, will call upon the resources of the Ugandan Catholic Church and community to shelter, counsel, and provide life skills and vocational training to vulnerable children and child sex workers in Kampala, Uganda.

Sponsored by ResLife, DICE, SSTOP, STAND, and Invisible Children
WHEN: Friday, April 23rd, 4:00-5:30 p.m.
WHERE: McShain Small Lounge
Free African food!

Hope to see you all there!

All the best,
Daniel Solomon
