Hello fellow STAND members!

Come see Myra Dahgaypaw, survivor of Burma's human rights abuses and campaigns director at the US Campaign for Burma, speak about the upcoming elections and Burma's political future. Food will be served. Here is the full set of event information:

Burma Elections: Unfree, Unfair, Illegitimate

November 1, 8:00-9:00 pm, ICC 103

On November 2, the United States will be holding midterm elections. 

On November 7, the military government of Burma will be holding elections too - elections that are neither free nor fair. 

Join Georgetown STAND on Monday, November 1 at 8:00 in ICC 103 to hear Myra Dahgaypaw, survivor of Burma’s human rights abuses and Campaigns director of the US Campaign for Burma, speak about the elections and what they mean for Burma’s future.
