Hey - passing this along in case this is of interest to folks. If anyone is interested in going to this conference, holler at us at KI, maybe we can figure out a way to help fund travel costs if GSC's funds are still tied up. 

The conference: it basically is focused on the ways that universities spend their money when they're buying stuff for campus and trying to use that purchasing power to put pressure on companies in the supply chain that might be committing labor abuses. I see it as an attempt to try to create an oversight/accountability model for universities that goes beyond just apparel and looks at all the other ways universities could influence labor conditions - maybe in the mining industry (metals for microchips in electronics bought through the university) or food (imposing certain requirements on food vendors on campus to ethically source their products).
