Hey - feel free to give a quick call to the mayor's office in support of the $15 minimum wage proposal for all workers (including tipped workers!). Here's the script, below; the call takes less than 2 minutes, the folks answering at the mayor's office are pretty efficient. If you're not sure what your ward is (or if you don't live in DC), just say you're in ward 2 (where Georgetown is located):

SCRIPT: My name is [NAME] from [YOUR WARD].

I support a $15 minimum wage from all workers, including tipped workers. No one should work full time and live in poverty.

Please do the right thing by raising the minimum wage.

Mayor Bowser's Office: (202) 727-2643

Councilmember Vincent Orange (At-Large): (202) 724-8174

Shout out to Carol at the mayor's office for a super efficient phone conversation - definitely sounds like she's getting plenty of calls in favor of $15 for all workers, tipped or otherwise.

A reminder we're making calls TODAY to the mayor and Councilmember Orange.

Our opposition has already started their fear mongering campaign -- we must out organize them and lift up the truth!

Only a few spots left - let's clog up those phone lines!

Sign up here to call the mayor and Councilmember Orange and tell them: I support a $15 minimum wage for all, including tipped workers.

Peace,
