Libya Humanitarian Emergency Appeal

The Muslim Community in Brisbane is Holding A Fund Raising Dinner on the 28th of May 2011 (6pm-8pm) for the benefit of Muslims who stuck between Libyan-Tunisian boarders. The event will be held in Islamic College of Brissbane (45 Acacia Rd, Karawata QLD 4117).
The United Nations estimated the number of refugees to be over 30.000. They are really in great need for food, clean water and basic medical supplies especially for elders and children. Please participate in this event by buying a ticket at $20 for adults and $50 for families.

Tickets will be sold at Griffith-Nathan campus, in the Multifaith Centre after Jummah prayer this week.

For those who will not attend, please donate directly in GUMSA donation box and we will transfer the money for this appeal.

If you will not come this Friday, you may find other our representative selling tickets at your local Massjid. Also contact us, br Yahya (0403138154), br Omar (0423890333), or br Rayed (0411787195) to arrange for buing tickets.

Arabic food from the North African region will be provided.

Important speakers from the Muslim community in Queensland will hold speeches at the event.
- The distribution of the money collected will be throughout the Emirati Red Crescent.
