Malmö GTUG - Summary 2011 and planning for 2012

I thought it could be a good idea to sum up the year and inform all of
you that we are planning activities for the next year. The activity in
the group the last few months have been pretty low, and I felt it was
time to do something about it. If this should happen again please send
me a reminder or two that it is time for a meeting, maybe even suggest
a topic.

Anyway, 2011 was the first year for the Malmö GTUG and we got off to a
good start with a couple of Android related meetings and a great
presentation on Google maps in between. Attendance varied depending on
topic and time of year but there were always a group of interested
people showing up and I have learned interesting things at every
occasion. After the summer we failed to arrange that many meet-ups but
at least we managed a Google TV introduction. For all the meetings I
would like to thank our hosts for providing a venue and some food and
drinks.

To make sure that we manage to run a number of meetings during the
spring I am aiming for running at set dates. This will probably be
during the last week of each month so please make a note in your
calendars for January 25 or 26 initially. Since Viktor is taking a
break from managing the GTUG any help is appriciated, especially with
hosting meetings or providing topics/presentations/activities. I have
a few ideas and suggestions for the first couple of meetings and
depending on when people are available we will run one of these for
the first meeting. The backup plan is to have a Chromebook demo and
discuss Google+ in more detail as a start since those are a couple of
areas I think we should have covered better during the fall.

Anyway, I look forward to a great 2012 for the GTUG and please send me
an e-mail (or use Google+) if you have any suggestions or questions.
