Hello,
I did a couple of workshops in Go Lang and was met with both success and encouragement. I'm now looking to coordinate regular developer workshops/events targeted mostly at, but not restricted to, an Intermediate to Advanced demographic around web and mobile technologies. The workshops are planned to be small (about 10 persons at a time) allowing good learning and richer interactions between the attendees.
If you have technical experience and expertise that you would be willing to share with the developer community and in turn learn from them, I'd love to hear from you and we can put this together effectively.
Some suggested topics ... (but don't restrict yourself to these)
* HTML5/CSS3 - Intermediate to Advanced (Offline Apps, Storage, Graphics/Games, Webworkers, Websockets, etc.)
* JavaScript - (Ember.js, Angular.js, jquery, jquerymobile, etc.)
* Chrome Web Apps and Plugins
* Google+ Apps
* Google Commerce APIs (Payments API, Shopping APIs, Save-To-Wallet APIs)
* Google Cloud Platform: Google App Engine/Datastore - Java/Python/Go
* Android - NFC, NDK, etc.
* Google TV
...
Some criteria:
* We would prefer a dev workshop - the major portion dedicated mostly to hands on work, and the last part can be a few slides on what more can be done.
* Typical time window: 1H 30mins.
* Choose topics that are Intermediate to Advanced for developers - one specific part done well is great.
What is in it for you:
* Improving your own understanding of the topic
* Reputation in the community and also with future employers & employees
* Building the community and raising the bar for oneself by learning from others
Please get in touch with me at personally at sathishvj{at}
gmail.com to let me know what you would like to share with the dev community and your existing experience in it.
cheers and hope to see you all,
Sathish
p.s. I already am in touch with owners of a venue, but I am also looking for sponsors who would be willing to lend us other central locations (with WiFi) in Bangalore.
