Africa Android Challenge (AAC) 2014 have started

Dear All,
African Android Challnge (AAC) is a community initiative. It is an initiative to encourage best android developers in Africa which is supported by Google and Alcatel . The challenge is a competition between android developers about 30 communities will participate throughout Africa .There will be many prizes to win including smartphones, tablets, and paid trip for the winners. This year it is conducted both in Addis Ababa and Arbaminch . Students, lecturers, and professionals can participate. Please refer eligibility section for more detail in the AAC website.

what makes this year's AAC special is that coders4Africa also collaborating on this effort to publicize the challenge and you are required to include short video of yourself or your android application that will help you publicize your APP.
Competition has two sections
1. Android Application
2. Android application with Google cloud as a backend
Deadline for the Application is April 15,2014 for the semi final. Two person will be selected in each region for the semi
final and awarded with Prizes (Alcatel phone and tablet) and will participate
for the second round with winners in other countries. Two winners will be selected for the final
and reward with trip to Google event in Africa with all expense sponsored.
participant should upload the APK in google drive and submit the URL on the website . For the section 2 category provide the URL of the google backend you have used

Tentative date for the event is April 19,2014 .And winners for the semi-final will be announce on this event. we will communicate this later with registration form and Agenda of the event
