Gcc 7 support in 4.3

Hi all

With a few collaborators, I have been plugging away at supporting c++17 and removing boost from develop (which is now in pre 4.3). One recurring issue is gcc 7 acting up with new c++17 features. So, quick poll, who would be really put out if we dropped gcc 7 in 4.3 ?
