ISAM2 batch optimization

Hi,

I am trying to perform batch optimization before using ISAM2 to check my system is properly constrained. I have gone through this  discussion. I am currently working in python. I found out there is an example of fixed lag smoother which performs batch optimization. I am wondering if I should follow the same method to test my system or there is another proper way to do this.
