Hi Alec

A lot of my client base is in South East Asia, and I am trying to get
the system to support the UTF8 unicode spec. I have the data I am
looking for in the dB in UTF8, however when I look at the data in the
balloon, it is giving me 1.1. km East of ?????? (?????? ??/)
which I assume is the base of the coding accepts Latin 1 characters
only.

Alec I don't think this will be a huge change for you to support the
UTF 8 characters, I utilise this in my POI's as well, please consider
this and let me know. If the change is too big it is ok, I will change
the POI's and references, but it would be cool to support a
multilingual environment.

Hi Alec

This is taken directly from the screen:

0.2km S of NGV ºéÒ¹ºÖ§

Or it will show NGV????? ?????

Derek

Hi

Sorry I don't understand how or where the information has come from.

Or the sequence of getting that information entered, and the sequence
of getting it displayed back to you.

Please explain both sequences, exactly. and what it is you want it to
say correctly.

:-)

Hi Alec

I get the information from a routine I use with my POI's, in the DB the data is correct, I have changed the balloon field to UTF8. The data should be as follows:

2.1km E of จุดสงสัยท่าข้ามmething

Alec while we are on the subject I see you have multiple language support in the application, is this functioning and if so how can I implement it, and you guessed it the Thai is what I am looking for, if there is so we can translate as well that would be great.

Hi Alec, I need the client programs (the ones installed on mobile phones) in Turkish. Can we do that? Can you show me a way? Thank you.

Hi Derek...

I'm really confused as the balloon information you type in the profile
page is never displayed any more.

Hi Kaya,

I don't think any change within the mobile phone software will be
happening for a while, the whole system was written for english...

sorry.
